We recognized that this convenience offers a great entry point for the wider population to interact with Pokémon. When designing these sets, we prioritize making them fun and interesting even for those who aren’t familiar with Pokémon.”

 

 

2. Seeking Bold and Unique Expressions

 

Each LINE sticker collection contains between 24 and 40 individual stickers, an amount that allows us to put together diverse lineups featuring both popular Pokémon and lesser-known ones.

 

Furthermore, these stickers provide an opportunity to bring unexpected sides of Pokémon to the forefront. The team draws inspiration from the details in the Pokédex to create interesting animations and movements uniquely suited to the platform.

 

“We focus on developing bold concepts that make even people who have a lot of stickers already want to get them,” says one staff member.

 

3. Showcasing a Fresh Appeal of Pokémon Through Creative Initiatives

 

In February of 2025, we released a LINE sticker collection featuring Pawmi, and the comical depictions and animations were a hit. The response on social media immediately after publishing was sizeable.

Pawmi, an electric-type mouse Pokémon first encountered in the games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, had already enjoyed several popularity spikes online.

 

“We felt that Pawmi’s squishy, adorable appearance and the silly movements would be perfect for LINE stickers,” a staff member explains. “Once we published them, the enthusiastic response far exceeded our expectations.”

 

 

The team also collaborated with the creator KAWAISOUNI!, who is widely popular among younger generations on a well-received set of stickers. By combining the creator’s distinct style with respect for each Pokémon’s characteristics, these LINE stickers provided us a new ways to express Pokémon.

 

The team continues to make use of the platform’s ability to swiftly incorporate trends. “We value an open-minded approach that constantly seeks new forms of expression, free from existing constraints,” one staff member explains. These efforts continue to result in a steady stream of creative projects that reveal a side of Pokémon’s cuteness never seen before.

 

 

4. Crafting Diverse Interpretations of Cuteness

 

Through the release of several unique sticker sets, the team has found that different collections appeal to different audiences. While some sets prove more popular among fans of the Pokémon games, others find success among users who have no prior experience with Pokémon.

 

“The definition of ‘cute’ differs significantly from person to person,” one staff member points out. “That’s exactly why we want to look beyond what is typically considered cute and continue exploring diverse, unique interpretations of Pokémon through our future sticker releases."
